Social Media Detox

Social Media Detox

DIRECTION:

A social media detox can be a beneficial way to reduce stress, improve mental well-being, be more intentional with your time, and improve your relationship with technology.

Use the space below to outline your plan and reflect on your experience.

Helpful Tips:

  • Log out or delete specific applications from your phone.
  • Tell your friends, family members, or coworkers about your social media break for additional support and accountability.
  • Disable notifications, unsubscribe, or unfollow accounts to eliminate distractions.

After your Detox, Reflect on your Experiences. Consider the following questions:

  • During this break, what types of behaviors did you notice about yourself?
  • Did you notice yourself grabbing your phone unintentionally or when there wasn’t a notification?
  • Do you find yourself being more or less stressed without regularly checking social media sites?
  • How were your relationships impacted by your social media detox?
